Where there is a will, there is a way. The paint industry has proved this saying to be true. Due to COVID-19, the paint industry witnessed a big fall in the product demand. Thus the whole industry near about stagnated. But when every iota of the world is adapting the new ways to survive, paint industry is also not an exception.
Leading paint makers in the country entered into manufacturing of sanitiser and started focusing on antibacterial coatings in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak. Consumers have become more cautious about home and personal hygiene amid the coronavirus pandemic and this led paint makes to switch to produce sanitisers and disinfectants. This not only made the paint Industry refrain from getting jobless but also full filled the demand of very urgent product, that are sanitizers and disinfectants.
Due to COVID most paint makers plan to take antibacterial paints, contact less express painting services to rural areas and small towns. Berger Paints India MD and CEO Abhijit Roy said in a webinar organised by the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry that the company has started taking initiatives in sanitizer selling. He also revealed that factories would operate in three shifts so that social distancing can be maintained at the workplace and automation to increase productivity can be focused properly.
Asian Paints has also introduced sanitisers for hand and surface under the brand ‘Viroprotek’.
Asian Paints MD and CEO Amit Syngle said recently during introducing sanitiser that they had been working in the health and hygiene space for some time and had introduced a product which helps customers in maintaining good standards of hygiene and bacterial protection for their homes. He continued that they had felt it apt to consolidate their portfolio in the hygiene space.
JSW Paints also announced that the company has entered into sanitizers market by launching Securall hand sanitizers. It will be manufactured at its facility at Vasind in Maharashtra. Initially it will be launched across south and west markets in 500 ML pack size.

All this prove that if we do not have the ability to change the circumstances, we need to change ourselves, we need to change the ways we adopt and we need to find out best possible alternatives. And paint industry has set the best example of it and proved that they are just unstoppable.
